Many people ask: "What is there to do in Dalmaland during the winter?" While visitors are enjoying their vacation and planning a new adventure for the summer months, our employees are working hard to get everything ready for next season. Here's what we do in Dalmaland when the doors are closed to guests!
Maintenance of attractions
The safety and correctness of attractions are the most important to us. During the winter, we thoroughly check all rides, from roller coasters to children's carousels. We repair all mechanical and electrical parts, test for safety and replace worn parts if necessary. We want to make sure that every attraction is safe and that visitors are enjoying themselves when we reopen.
Renovation and decoration
In order for Dalmaland to retain its fairytale appearance, during the winter months we restore and refresh the entire park. Painting facades, repairing thematic decorations and replacing damaged elements are part of the regular activities in this period. Each season brings new visual surprises that leave visitors breathless.
Landscaping
Nature is an important part of the atmosphere provided by our amusement park, so in winter we take care of all the green areas, plant new plants and prepare the park for spring flowering. Older seedlings are fed and pruned to keep them healthy and lush when spring comes. Flowers are ordered to adorn the green spaces, and every bench, path and flower bed undergoes a thorough renovation to ensure the park will look immaculate when we resume operations.
Test driving
Before the park opens its doors to visitors, all systems go through rigorous test tours. This ensures that all rides are ready for the upcoming season and that all guests enjoy our adrenaline and family experiences without fear. Although all attractions are serviced during the winter, we carry out regular daily inspections when the park is open. In addition, one-month, three-month, half-yearly and annual controls are carried out by our technical team made up of experts of various profiles - electricians, electronics, mechanics and other necessary craftsmen.
Procurement and logistics
In order to welcome guests with a new offer, during the winter we procure souvenirs, equipment for the gastronomic offer and other necessary items. A new gastronomic offer is planned, and the souvenir shop is stocked with the latest attractive products to attract visitors.
Staff training
Our employees are key to the success of Dalmaland! During the winter days, we conduct education and training sessions in order to improve the customer service we provide to visitors. New employees undergo training, while the existing team hones their skills to ensure our guests' experiences are flawless.
Planning new content
Every season brings new excitement! During the closed period, we create new attractions, show programs and special events that will enrich the park's offer. We are constantly working to make Dalmaland a place from which visitors return with a smile on their face. The construction of two new attractions is planned for this year - a children's pool with colorful slides called Jolly Pirate Island and an adrenaline descent called the Dalmatian Catapult. Inside the amusement park you will be able to enjoy the VR zone.
Marketing and promotion
While the park is idle during the winter months, events and marketing campaigns are designed. Our marketing experts arrange cooperation with hotels, camps and travel agencies in order to better promote this part of the Adriatic as a desirable destination. We create flyers, maps and other materials that will be available to visitors inside the park as soon as the season starts. We are actively communicating with our visitors through social media, websites and other media to maintain excitement leading up to the grand opening.
The preparation season may not be visible to the public eye, but behind closed doors, Dalmaland never rests! With a lot of effort and dedication, we work to make each new season even more spectacular than the previous one. We can't wait to welcome you again in our park!
